75Hard - a 75-day Mental and Physical Challenge

75Hard - a 75-day Mental and Physical Challenge

What an unforgettable year.

For most, it was a year like no other. Can we just call it an “emotional experience?” I think that encompasses the highs and the lows and everything in between.

For many of us, we learned something new or took up a new hobby, because we actually had a rare resource — time. I just read that the hobby of bird-watching has soared during the pandemic! If bird-watching hasn’t been your thing, for many of us it’s been baking (banana bread, #amiright), Netflix (bingeing has an entirely new meaning now), or maybe at-home fitness (“another walk?” says the dog).

Whatever it is that you learned during this significant time in our world, I hope you found goodness, gratitude and appreciation amidst the uncertainty.

For my husband, Jose, and me we found such goodness and gratitude in the time that we were able to spend together. Oh, SO much time! Staying physically active has been a saving grace for us and has helped us balance our emotional wellbeing, as well.

Jose and I love a good challenge and so we began and completed the much talked about 75Hard program, by Andy Frisella. Have you heard about it? I want to share more about the program with you, so stay tuned and keep reading.

75Hard is completed in (you guessed it) 75 consecutive days. There are no cheat days, no cheat meals and get this, no alcohol. This is not a “challenge.” This is a choice. Choosing YOU - your health, your mental strength, your overall well-being. So, here are the rules.

•Complete two separate 45 minute workouts each day, one which MUST be outdoors (yeah, embrace the suck). This means rain or shine. •Follow a nutrition plan of your choice, no alcohol and no cheat days. •Drink 1 gallon of water each day. •Read 10 pages in an entrepreneurial book daily. •Take a daily progress picture.

Why did we do this??? Well, have you heard of the term mental-athleticism. Just like your body grows stronger as you “flex” your muscles, your mind does also. This is a daily deposit towards developing self-excellence. It’s not just a diet, it’s far more than that.

This means working daily to make yourself better, putting yourself in difficult conditions which will make you grow, NOT making excuses for giving up on your goals and putting your best efforts into all that you do.

So here’s the fun, exciting and challenging news!! Are you ready?? Get excited!! Jose and I want to invite you to virtually join us, starting January 1st, 2021, in completing the 75Hard program. It’s free, it’s fun and there will be a party at the end! What other excuses do you have not to join us? You can follow along with us on our blog right here weekly, but we hope you’ll do much more than follow along — we hope you’ll join us and change your life!

Life is HARD sometimes. And life is full of HARD choices. The real question is which “hard” do you choose for yourself... the pain of hard work, or the pain of regret?

I promise you, you CAN do hard things. The question is will you lean in when it gets uncomfortable instead of falling back on what is comfortable, safe or secure? The fact is, nothing changes if nothing changes.
